State Bicycle Co. and Corona (yes, the beer) launched a capsule collection for summer 2022 just shy of $600, you could ride away with a Corona-branded Klunker, jersey, bibs, and a bar bag. Perhaps your biggest question about this collab is ‘why?’

It’s all about the simple pleasures.

The collection embodies Corona’s relaxed vibes and passion for recreation—including riding a bike (not while under the influence, of course). The bike, jerseys, bibs, and bar bag are available today. Frankly, they are well priced. Let’s investigate:

The SBC x Corona Klunker

The SBC x Corona Klunker is a singlespeed steel framed bike that the brands describe as a "mash-up of beach cruiser, mountain bike, and BMX bike.” It has coaster brakes, BMX bars, 2.4” MTB tires, and flat pedals. It practically begs to be ridden in flip-flops….which we would not recommend. The bike is one-size-fits-all; or at least, riders 5'5" to 6’3”.
($420)

The SBC x Corona Handlebar Bag

Admittedly, this might be one of the most fun bar bags we’ve seen in a while. The design doesn’t scream Corona, it just quietly whispers it, and the burrito-style bag is a must for any rider who requires extra snacks in-ride. It’s watertight and has a 1.7-liter capacity. ($40)

The SBC Sustainable Clothing Collection x Corona Kit

A casual cut t-shirt style jersey is available for $60 and boasts a rear zip pocket, while a more race-style, standard cycling jersey (for those boardwalk sprints) retails for $69.99. Bib shorts are available for $80 and feature the Corona logo on each leg of the navy shorts. This kit is made with recycled 100% post-consumer waste with Repreve, a polyester primarily recycled from water bottles.
