Stage 5 - Bar le Duc to Saint Dié des Vosges - 175.6km - Thursday, July 28

Stage 5 marks the longest stage of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. It's the only stage of the week that runs over 100 miles (175.6km, to be precise), and it's going to be a flat and fast stage despite the distance.

The flat course has two short climb sections and one intermediate sprint.

Riders to Watch

As the race passes the halfway mark, gaps have opened up in the overall standings, which will make a flat, fast stage more interesting as time matters and certainly, attacks will be launching throughout the day. We've seen some of strong climbers who are GC contenders start moving up in the rankings, like Ashley Moolman-Pasio. But Stage 4 cemented Marianne Vos' overall lead with her fifth place finish, and a flat and fast stage that will likely come down to tactics should play to her strengths. Her top competition, Silvia Persico and Kasia Niewadoma, also excel on flat and fast though, and with only 16 seconds separating the three, tomorrow's stage could shift the rankings.

And as we've seen in Stage 5, there are many riders who could try hard attacks in order to secure stage wins without considering the consequences for the overall GC—so really, anything can happen.

When to Watch

The race will begin at 5:45AM EST and take roughly 6.5 hours to complete. Stream it on the Peacock App starting at 8:15AM EST or watch the replay later. (Your NBC credentials should allow you to log in, or if you don't have cable, a month-long subscription to Peacock is reasonably cheap!) For those in Canada, FloBikes will be broadcasting the race.

Note: Each day, only two and a half hours of the race will be broadcast, hence the difference in the start time of the race and the start time of the broadcast.

If you're concerned about missing some pedaling time while you spectate the race, you can always hop on Zwift and ride sections of Zwift Island created to mimic parts of each stage—and join other Tour de France Femmes-obsessed fans while you ride!
